Milan Milojevic

Milan Milojevic was born in Hobart in 1954. He is currently an Associate at the Tasmanian College of the Arts, University of Tasmania (UTAS). From 1987 to 2012 he was head of the Printmaking Studio, Tasmanian School of Art.
His artistic practice explores issues surrounding identity and reflection upon his own cross-cultural position as a first-generation Australian, born of German and Yugoslav parents.
Milojevic exhibits nationally and internationally. He is a recipient of many awards including from the Australia Council and the Australian Research Council. Residencies in Scotland include Peacock Arts, Aberdeen and the Glasgow School of Art. In 1986-87 he was awarded a DAAD Post-graduate Research Grant at the Hochschule für bildende Künste, Hamburg. From 1977-1978 Milan was Master Printer, Landfall Press, Chicago.
His work is held in major public and private collections in Australia and Europe.
